Long Beach travelers now have two more nonstop options for getting to the Pacific Northwest.
Southwest Airlines has officially launched daily nonstop flights from Long Beach Airport to both Seattle and Portland, expanding the airport’s growing list of destinations.
The new routes are already operating, with one flight each day in both directions.

The additions bring Long Beach Airport’s network to 21 nonstop destinations, along with nearly 400 destinations available through one-stop connections.
Seattle service from Long Beach is also about to get another boost.
Beginning Sept. 8, Alaska Airlines is scheduled to add twice-daily nonstop flights between Long Beach and Seattle, giving travelers even more options between the two cities.
Long Beach Airport currently offers nonstop service through Southwest Airlines, Alaska Airlines, Hawaiian Airlines and Delta Air Lines.
The airport celebrated the launch of the new Southwest routes with live music, free coffee, giveaways and other surprises for passengers traveling on the first flights.
For Long Beach residents, the bigger takeaway is pretty simple: getting to Seattle and Portland just got easier, and even more flights to the Pacific Northwest are coming this fall.
