Queen Mary 2 Coming to Long Beach, You Can Book a Sunrise Cruise to See It Up Close
Long Beach is about to witness a rare maritime moment, and this time, you can be on the water to see it.
In early February 2026, Cunard’s Queen Mary 2 will return to the Long Beach harbor for the first time in nearly 20 years, reuniting with the historic RMS Queen Mary for a special event being called the Royal Rendezvous.
To celebrate the visit, the Queen Mary is offering a special early-morning harbor cruise that lets guests view both iconic ships together from the water.
The cruise departs at 6:30 a.m., with check-in at 6:00 a.m. and boarding at 6:15 a.m. It’s a guided sunrise experience with narration from a Queen Mary ship officer, covering the history of both vessels and their shared legacy.
Passengers will see the modern Queen Mary 2 alongside the permanently docked Queen Mary, with views of the Port of Long Beach and Port of Los Angeles skyline as the backdrop.
For ship lovers and early risers, this offers a rare chance to see two generations of legendary ocean liners side by side in Long Beach.
